I see 3 categories among the 8 townships of pays de Fayence:
This is a majority vote in 2 turns, electing 19 counsellors.
In these townships, it appears that the incumbents will go for the votes, with some recomposition of their teams.

In these townships, there is a similar pattern; the incumbents will go for the votes, with some recomposition of their teams. But here there are alternative teams ie.
These alternative teams are working hard to elaborate their projects for their respective townships.
In the 6 above townships, because less than 2500 inhabitants as per the 1999 census, the lists presented to the voters may be complete or incomplete and voters are allowed to delete names and add any names of their choice.
NB: by latest news, Jean-Marie Poujol incumbent at Tourrettes, may not go for re-election. Camille Bouge, member de l'UMP and supported by this party, would be presenting a new list.
This is a vote by lists with 2 turns, electing 27 counsellors. The lists presented to the voters have to be complete and no change is permitted; the vote is nil if any change is made.

one in Montauroux "Vivre à Montauroux";
two in Fayence:
Les themes of the election campaigns will naturally focus on "communal or village" aspects. But there is an important aspect which should not be neglected ie. the Communauté de Communes (CdC). The CdC will have to work to its end the elaboration of a SCOT (Coherent frame of sustainable development for 8 townships of the canton). So the Scot is also a major issue of the elections. See this document in English to understand the issues.
In march 2008 we will also re-elect our representative at the Departmental assembly in Toulon.. This is because the incumbent, François Cavallier, was elected in 2001 and his mandate is coming to its end. This election is also important for our canton. But I hear that René Ugo mayor of Seillans would go for the election, as well as Irène Geay.
The municipal elections in our 8 townships will elect 168 conseillers municipaux out of which will emerge:
and one Conseiller Général.
Local elections in 2008, should be viewed as a whole . Ideally, an overall coherence should be the guide for the proposals of the candidates and for the choices of the electors. It is highly desirable that all European nationals take part in these elections. Enlist in the rolls before 31 December 2007. And remember, you can always vote by proxy.
